Oriental Dragon Wall Art

Product Description
This piece of wall art is just ONE example of the many different things you can create using our products! (Click on the picture to enlarge for detail.)
It was created by Dee Famularo, using 1 sheet each of Dragon Circle (Item #GP-191) & Long Dragon Stripe (Item #GP-195), 1 sheet of black WorldWin cardstock, 2 sheets of red WorldWin cardstock, & the background sheet the dragon & corner designs are mounted onto is the Lily White Serenade Cardstock by Doodlebug Design, Inc. (Item #2022).
The dragon was very carefully hand-cut from the center of GP-191, as were the corners.
The Cricut electronic die-cutting machine & Design Studio software (Mfgr: ProvoCraft) were used to cut a perfect circle for matting the dragon onto from 1 of the sheets of red cardstock, & then again to cut a slightly larger circle from the sheet of black cardstock.
After cutting the circles from the centers of the cardstock, what was left of the papers was then cut into 4 equal pieces, to be used for matting the corner designs.
The corner designs were each matted onto the 2nd piece of red cardstock, then carefully cut down again, leaving only 1/16" around the design. Each of these were then adhered onto 1 of the 4 pieces of black cardstock, then again onto a piece of the red cardstock. (Note: The layers are different for the corners & the dragon: the dragon is matted onto red, then black; the corners are matted onto red, black, then red again.)
The dragon and corner designs were matted first, and then carefully colored in using markers, gel pens, & glitter pens(some being layered by using marker 1st, then glitter pen over it).
One stripe was cut from GP-195, then that strip was cut down into 4 pieces. Each was centered on the outer edges of the background paper, between the corners, using regular permanent adhesive.
The dragon was mounted onto the background using adhesive foam dots around the outer edges of the back of the dragon piece, with left-over epoxy stickers that had hardened or yellowed (& no longer usable as stickers) being adhered in the center of the back of the dragon circle, to maintain the 3-D effect, & keep it lifted from the page at the center; this same method was again utilized in mounting the corners.
